Vehicles with hubcaps
Here it is necessary to remove the hubcap to check the tire pressure. Therefore, the tire pressure on such vehicles is very rarely checked. With air-flexx® valve extensions, checking the tire pressure with the hubcap on is conveniently possible.
Check tire pressure – with the hubcap on
Vehicles with twin tires
Regular tire pressure checks on inner twin tires often cannot be carried out because plastic, brass, or hose valve extensions are either broken off or missing. A greater risk of accident and higher tire wear are the consequences.
Disadvantages of plastic valve extensions
Plastic valve extensions are rigid and therefore break off easily if foreign bodies get between the twin tires or if the valve extension is not precisely guided through a rim hole during the mounting of the outer twin wheel. Due to thermal influence, they quickly become brittle and fragile. If valve extensions are broken, the pressure of the inner twin tire can no longer be checked!
Disadvantages of rubber hose valve extensions
Rubber hose valve extensions can only be used with rim holders. If the valve extension detaches from the rim holder, it chafes through the rim hole and the air pressure completely escapes from the tire. A flat tire in a few seconds and tire damage are inevitable. In addition, rubber hose extensions become porous due to natural aging, and a creeping loss of air is often the consequence – here, too, there is a risk of accident! With air-flexx® valve extensions, you are on the safe side
air-flexx® combines the advantages of commercially available plastic and rubber hose valve extensions.
air-flexx® valve extensions are pressureless, so there is no risk of a flat tire. They are flexible and of very high quality, so there is no risk of breakage. This allows the tire pressure to be checked at any time.
How many defective valve extensions do you find in your fleet?
Can the air pressure of the inner twin tires be checked on all vehicles in your fleet? Spot checks at depots and highway rest areas have shown that many commercial vehicles are on the road with defective valve extensions – and therefore probably also with incorrect tire pressure. Check your vehicles yourself!
