Why are valve extensions important?

Valve extensions must be installed properly and inspected regularly to ensure their safety and functionality. Especially on construction sites and in off-road and forestry operations, conventional extensions made of metal, plastic, or rubber are often unable to withstand the daily stresses. Plastic and metal extensions break off time and again. Rubber hose extensions are prone to abrasion. In an empirical study conducted several years ago as part of periodic vehicle inspections of approximately 1,000 commercial vehicles, the testing organization DEKRA found that in nearly half of the vehicles examined, the valve extensions were broken off, leaking, or not properly secured.
